Changes to Google Search Title (2 posts)

    Hi!

I have a bit of a strange problem regarding what comes up as far as my main Google search title when a general search is done. I'm an acupuncturist in Brighton, and if someone searches under something like "Acupuncture in Brighton", my listing comes up on Google with a title that I don't understand how it got there, and I can't seem to change it.

The permalink (http://www.givingtreeacupuncture.co.uk) associated with the search result is the one that is connected to my home page, but instead of saying the title of my homepage, which is "Welcome to The Giving Tree", the Google search title says, "Comments on: Treatment at The Giving Tree". I do have a page entitled "Treatment at The Giving Tree", but this page has a different permalink (http://www.givingtreeacupuncture.co.uk/treatment/), and this isn't the permalink that appears under the search title, it's the homepage permalink that appears.

I have looked everywhere to try to find the source of this "Comments on: Treatment at The Giving Tree", and I can't find it.

I would love to be able to change my homepage Google search title from "Comments on: Treatment at The Giving Tree" to "Welcome to The Giving Tree". Can anyone help?

    Thank you,

    Nicky

The problem is that your <title></title> tag is empty, so Google takes some random words from the page header.

Go into the admin panel and check if you actually entered a site title:

    Cheers,
    Manu
