I'm running WP 1.5.2 on a WestHost dedicated server and I cannot turn on file uploads, no matter what I do. When I try to make changes to the "Allow File Uploads" options on the Miscellaneous Options page, the changes simply will not "take." I hit Update Options but they don't update -- the screen just reverts right back to all the relevant fields being blank, and "Allow File Uploads" being unchecked -- and I still can't upload anything. Argh!!! I've tried setting various different directories as my upload path, with permissions set to 777. I tried deactivating all my plugins, but it still didn't work. I've tried all different combinations of settings, but no matter what I try, WordPress simply does not register that I've done anything with the "Allow File Uploads" tab.
Does anyone have any ideas?
