• Hi Folks. Appreciate some assistance.

    I have http://tellmystory-tellyourstory.com/ as a site I’m developing.

After some checking in Google key word tool, I decided to change the name of the site to an address already pointing to the site, http://mylifeaudio.com.

Thus I wanted to make http://mylifeaudio the site name and address and I wanted http://tellmystory-tellyourstory.com to be a 301 redrirect to the newly renamed site.

I went into settings and successfully changed the name to My Life Audio.Com and changed the address to http://mylifeaudio.com.

The changes were made and the site exists (it’s available to the public) with the new name BUT I cannot get to the administration section of the site.

I’s spent several hours working with the instructions at http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL and I called Godaddy. Two issues:

Godaddy states that the changes must be made within WordPress; they cannot help me.

The WordPress instructions are beyond my comprehension. I’ve been inside my server looking for WP-Config-PHP and I can find it but I cannot access the file.

What I need is plain language instruction as to fixing the problem. I guess I know just enough to do something stupid but not enough to understand the instructions.

Is this so complicated that I should hire someone? The instructions are constantly warning me that I could cause further damage unless I do it right.

Thank you for your assistance. Sorry for the long note.

    Best, Len.
