Hopefully somebody can help me, I changed my link name structure from "archives985" to post name. When I did this I renamed all of my posts in the permalinks option. All of them worked except for one, it's because I named it, renamed it, realized I wanted the first name back and when I did that i got the redirects error.
I brought this to Powweb's tech support and they were baffled, even though a 30 second Google search listed the common htaccess answer. I figured I'd let Powweb handle it and 3 techies and 2 days later I get my support ticket answered with "hey it works now" only to find out they just added the category title in so it reads "http://www.djshamann.com/MUSIC/dj-shamann-9th-uno-dannie-wahlberg" instead of "http://www.djshamann.com/dj-shamann-9th-uno-dannie-wahlberg" which is what I wanted. Well thanks but no thanks Powweb, I could've done that.
So what's happening is this, I want the link to be named "http://www.djshamann.com/dj-shamann-9th-uno-dannie-wahlberg" as I said but it's redirecting to "http://www.djshamann.com/9th-uno-dannie-wahlberg" and gives me this error...
The webpage at http://www.djshamann.com/9th-uno-dannie-wahlberg/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
I obviously tried my cookies and an another browser just in case and nothing. So now that I have seen the htaccess hinted at I'm wondering how i can do this myself.
I'm not sure what info you need from me but if I haven't provided enough details please let me know.
