Change the urls back. See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to do this correctly.
It worked! Sweet! Coronary averted! I think.
Thank you, esmi, o Wise and Wonderful Theme Diva and Forum Moderator!
No problem. Glad I could help 🙂
Again, thanks for your help yesterday!
So, here’s another question for one with your Diva and Moderating skills—i’ve taken a quick peek in the forum and didn’t see documentation that answered my question, so…
I’m building a self-hosted site for a client on my own server (mjglueckert.com) and I’d like to access the video feature available via JetPack.
However, to use the video feature, WP is asking me to establish a wordpress.com account, and in the signing up process, i’m told something to the effect of “soon you can add posts to your blog…”
Anyway, after yesterday’s coronary-inducing episode, i’m feeling a bit gun-shy as i’m wondering: will signing up for a WP.com account connected to my self-hosted site cause any problems for an already under development (and close to completed) site?
Thanks!

Not at all. The only reason you need a wordpress.com account is because all of the external features in Jetpack (site stats etc) are actually processed and stored at wordpress.com. Other than that your wordpress.com account and your self-hosted WordPress site are completely independent of one another.
