Changed Permalinks: Pages Working, Posts Not! (2 posts)

    Hi there,

    Here is my site: http://www.bestforhunting.com/

Today I changed my permalinks from the default ?p=123 to
/%year%/%postname%. I then changed the .htaccess at my host. Now my sidebar page links will work but the post links do not. I have tried my backlinks at article directories and they work to my posts there, but they come up in the address bar with the old permalink of ?p=123, which is what they are at the article directory. I was told the old backlinks will work and WP will redirect them to the new post name.

Is there something else I need to do with the posts for them to work?

Another thing that raises a question for me is the page addresses are coming up with just the post name without the year. I assume this is because they are pages. Is this right?

    Thanks for your help,

    Chris

Check with your hosts that mod_rewrite is running on your server.

    Yes.
