Changed permalinks – how to restore counts

Plugin has treated me well over the last while – just wanted to say thanks for the great work!

I recently changed my permalink structure –

From: /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%

To: /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%post_id%/%postname%

How would I get the tweet counts restored? My .htaccess directs the posts to the new urls, but the counts do not reflect this.

Does anyone know? I am sure there is some way to do it, but I can’t find any info specific to this plugin.
