I updated the .htaccess after changing my permalink url. Now it says that I have comments on my entries, and they're still there under "Manage Comments" but, they won't show up on my site, and the leave a comment box isn't there anymore.
Any idea what I did wrong?
What did you change your permalink structure to? You didn't change anything else?

Nope, nothing else.
I changed it from:
/journal/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%post_id%
to:
/journal/%year%_%monthnum%_%day%

You can't do that. What if you post 2 items in one day? Then you'd have two posts with the same permalink.
http://www.exciting.cc/journal/2005_09_23 is showing all items from today because it's a date. Note the title of the page and the text above the post.
You need to use the post's ID or title in your permalinks.
