hi there. i'm hoping there is an easy solution to this that i'm overlooking. i have been working on my wordpress site remotely using MAMP and just tried to update the code in the editor to fix my twitter feed as per a suggestion i read in the theme's support forum. once i made that change i was unable to navigate through to the site preview or the dashboard at all and i have no clue how to fix this. is there something i can change in phpMyAdmin to get this back to what it was before i buggered it up?

any suggestions would be much appreciated!

  2. Since you're on localhost all you should need to do is reset your plugins directory by renaming it to something else. If the code you changed was in your theme's functions.php file, you can try renaming your theme's directory name so WordPress reverts to the default theme.

You can read more about resetting your plugins directory in the FAQ Troubleshooting Codex article.

Hi Drew, Thanks for your help... I tried the things you suggested with no luck, and then tried a bunch of other things and have likely buggered it up beyond repair. I think I'm going to start this one over, but I'll definitely remember your advice if I manage to make this mistake again!

    Thanks again,

    Lee Ann
