Change WPFolio theme to fixed width (2 posts)

I am using the WPFolio theme in this site: http://www.alphabetsoupgroup.com/Kim/ . On smaller screens or when I reduce the size of the window, the side image in the background is covered by the content. I originally thought that my problem was that this was a flexible width theme so I tried this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-do-i-change-fluid-width-theme-to-fixed-width?replies=4. Nothing seemed to change, although I may have done it incorrectly. Should I be concentrating on a min width?

    I appreciate any help.

This is a result of margin: auto which adapts margins to keep the content centered on the page. Use Firebug to see which selector is causing this (I believe it's .container). You can change the margin to however much you need to show the image, so something like container { margin: 0 100px; } which will add a 100px margin to the right and left of .container.
