   Right now it seems like the URL link goes to the web page on my domain. Is it possible to have it point to an external link, ie the company website of the company that gave the testimonial?

   Sure, just put the URL of the destination in as shown in screenshot 2 of http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/testimonials-widget/screenshots/ under Testimonial Data.

   Interesting, if you don't include the "http://" it points to an internal page, and if you do, it points to the external page. Thanks for the heads up.

   Thank you, I've added the note to release 2.2.2. I hadn't caught that.
