    Hello.

    I want to change the "Dansk krone" currency symbol from "kr" to "DKK". How is this possible?

    I have tried adding a new currency according to this article but when choosing the new currency, my PayPal payment module does not work anymore (not selectable in checkout).

    What to do?

    Figured it out. Found the place in woocommerce-core-functions.php and changed the html code for "kr" to the html code for "DKK." Works like a charm - until the next woocommerce update at least :-)

    Just incase someone else stumbles upon this, here's how you change the symbol of an existing currency and have it still work in PayPal:

    add_filter('woocommerce_currency_symbol', 'change_existing_currency_symbol', 10, 2);

    function change_existing_currency_symbol( $currency_symbol, $currency ) {
         switch( $currency ) {
              case 'AUD': $currency_symbol = 'AUD$'; break;
         }
         return $currency_symbol;
    }
