   can anyone tell me where i'm able to edit that posted via bit which appears on the twitter site?

   That's something that Twitter generates - you need to register an application with them.

   I went to the Plugins editor and edited that part out of the code... whether this will cause problems when I update the plugin, I don't know.

   I tried editing the plugin, but still when i post it shows the 'via Twitter Tools' in Twitter page. Can anyone help me so that i can change it to my blog page or via Web.

   Proper credit to Twitter tools will be given in the blog, but don't want that to be shown on my Twitter page.
