change the folder name / theme name

I cannot remember what happens if you change the folder name for a Child Theme folder without giving it a matching name on its style.css, but I do know you can de-activate a Child Theme and change its name in those two places and it will return the new name when you refresh the Dashboard and its widgets and some settings will have to be reset…and I have always used FTP to do that even though there might be other ways.
