    Hello,
    I am referring to tread
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/change-sentence-in-footer?replies=10

    but in my case, even after disabling in my custom css manager

    /*hide footer*/
    /*.site-info {
    display: none;
    }*/

    only the original footer comes back
    and not the customized from the child theme

    feedback very much appreciated!

    here is my child theme

    You should have done:

    Activated the Child Theme
    Copied the "footer.php" file from the Spun theme and pasted it into your Child Theme folder
    Edited your "footer.php" file of your Child Theme

    Thank you Andrew!

    The mistake: What I did was to copy the codes directly on my
    style.css

    now I have two item in my child folder
    style.css
    footer.php
