The English words “Find Events” are used and live in the POT file – I believe they are already translated in the de_DE.po and .mo files to Veranstaltung finden … are you referring to a different string altogether? Where would I see it if I was looking at an unmodified example of our plugin, for instance?
Thanks for your help. I already changed the word “Search” in the /lib/the-events-calendar.class.php” in line 4073 and 4075. This has resolved the little issue.
I also found another issue in the “label-tribe-bar-date”. I configured the calendar to show it in the list view as default.
When i will open the website to see the calendar in the list view, i found out that the label “Veranstaltunngen von” in the “label-tribe-bar-date” is wrong. It must be “Veranstalugen von”…
I already searched in the de_DE.po file and changed in line 1942 “Veranstaltunngen von” to “Veranstaltungen von”, but it didn’t help.
Do you have any idea, where i can also change the text? It’s the heading of the date bar besides the search bar on the event calendar page.
Thanks in advance.

Great – but please be aware modifications to core plugin code are likely to be overwritten upon update.

Thanks for the correction: I’ll pass that along to my colleague Leah (who collates translations). You should be aware that changing the .po file alone will not cause any changes to take place – it must be recompiled to a .mo format file.
Thanks for your support Barry Hughes.
So i will wait for the next update with the correct translations in the .po and recompiled .mo file.

I use it for all my WordPress website. Give it a try, you will never have issues with translations any more!
Hi Oliver – thank you very much! We do also have a dedicated translation forum that is a great venue for contributions like this one (but I’ll flag this up to my colleague Leah so she can review).
Thanks!
