Their must be a way to change the "read more" link to show a link, chosen by me, without the use of <!-- more my text --> or changing something in the loop. As it is now it shows (läs mer...) (Swedish for Read more), but I can't find where that text is from. So where do I change this so it shows my selected text?

look in your theme's
index.phpand ,single.php- possibly other files like archive.phpalso for review
