Change Position of sidebar/ Performance Issues (4 posts)

    I have recently swapped to WordPress and love most of it.

    However I have a couple of queries

    Firstly how do I move the sidebar to the left instead of the right-hand side?

    Also can it be positioned so that it sits below the logo?

    The other point is that it works quickly enough, however it takes fully 30secs to open the site admin page any ideas?

    You help will be appreciated.

    Cheers

    PS. I know nothing about PHP so please keep it simple.

    Here's my sidebar info, and here's how I relocate my sidebar. Your results may vary.

    #sidebar {
    position: relative;
    float: right;
    width: 140px;
    right: 20px;
    padding: 10px 0px 0px 0px;
    background-color: #fff;
    text-align: left;
    font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times, serif;;
    color: #000;
    font-size: 7.5pt;
    line-height: 11pt;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    .left {
    float: left;
    margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px;
    }

    .right {
    float: right;
    margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px;
    }

    Under "float" (third line), I change it to left. Then I change the fourth line to either right or left, and I adjust the px number accordingly. I'm not a master at this stuff, so if this doesn't work for you, then maybe someone else will be able to help out.
