Change PLUGIN_URL and PLUGIN_PATH constant with more recent methods

    Hi, I noticed that this plugin is using PHP constants to define the plugin url and plugin path but they are using some old or not codex compliant methods, is there any particular reason for this method?

    I would like to propose a patch for this; should I try to contact the plugin author directly?

    There are other aspects of the plugin where I would like to cooperate, I’m not asking for access to the svn repo or anything I just want to improve this, maybe setting up a git repo?
