This typeface is tiny and scrunched in my new dashboard — not what Open Sans is supposed to look like and I’m using the default settings in my browsers (chrome and firefox, most recent versions, mac mavericks).

Please, it is nearly illegible and looks horrendous. I’ll have to change the core files but don’t want to do this for every install, on every update.

  • It looks fine for me in all browsers. Try opening your dashboard in a private window to rule out a browser extension issue.

It turns out my computer had both open sans and open sans condensed, and for some reason the condensed version was being used. Regardless, it should be easier to choose the typeface to what the viewer thinks is most legible for them.

Also, I found the change doesn’t go in core files but in theme functions file.
