    Hi Folks

I am using a child theme from the twentytenHTML5 templates.

I have a Page as my site front page. In the horizontal main navigation bar this Page now shows as “Home”.

How is best to change this text that it uses the Page title, like the other Pages, instead?

    Thank you

Are you using WordPress 3 menu system? If so head to Appearance Menus and end the menu entry there by using the drop down arrow. Save and it should have changed.

    Hi Daris,

Im sorry Im not sure I understand what you mean (me big noob. much stoopid)

In the appearance > menus panel, there are currently no items there, I guess that means im not using the menu system.
Its just the menu built into the parent template which should be very very similar to the default twentyten system…

Ah I messed about with the menus panel a bit and managed to hide the default menu and build a new one.

however with this method I need to add links to the menu manually in the panel, rather than having them automatically appended…

maybe this is the only way to achieve what I want though?

EDIT: OK just spotted the option to automatically add top level pages, So I think thats me fixed! Yay! thanks for pointing me in the right direction Daris 🙂

That will help explain Custom Menus. They are fairly powerful and useful.
