[resolved] Change image URLs in every post via SQL? (6 posts)

I wonder is someone can help me please?

I used to use Typepad, and imported my old blog into WP. Excellent - very pleased with it.

However, all my old posts point to images still hosted by Typepad. I've manually moved the images over, but wonder if there is some way I can change the image URLs in every single post so they now point to my own server space, rather than Typepad's?

I'm hoping it might be possible to do something in SQL, like change one string in all posts' content to another. That is, replace the first part of a in image's URL for another.

I am completely clueless when it comes to SQL, so if anyone could help me out here I'd be eternally grateful.

    Many thanks

There is, yes. It's somewhere in Codex ..... and it's proving extremely difficult to find.

The SQL query is at the bottom, but before you do any changes at all, backup the files you are changing.

It worked! Perfectly! I can't believe how quick the whole process was. Even backing up my database only took seconds. Cheers Podz - your help is hugely appreciated.
