    Hello,

You mentioned specific code to change the image size, and to put this code in our theme. But which file in our theme would we put it?

I'm trying to add your testimonial widget in my site's footer.

    Thank you.

I recommend putting your theme customizations into a custom-functions.php file and then include that in your theme's functions.php file via include 'custom-functions.php';.

    Hi Michael,

The below implementation I think is cleaner rather than editing non css files. I put the below in my style.css file.

    testimonialswidget_image img { height: 50px; width: 50px; }

    Thank you.

If you're concerned about performance, then do the PHP code, if not, go CSS.

Got a website URL for me to help with debugging?

    Hi Michael,

Sure... you can go to Adaws Property and take a look at the footer.

By the way, I did notice, if you scroll to the very bottom and wait for a testimonial to be refreshed, then the page adjusts up a touch. If you scroll down again, then it moves up again with the next testimonial.

I disable this plugin, and all was fine. Is there something in your code that is causing the page to shift up a touch?

    Thank you again.

There's no testimonials widget on http://www.adaws.com/ to debug image size for.

Next, as there's no fixed height for testimonials widget, footer based testimonials might affect the page height. You can set such via the widget or shortcode.

Hmm... something happened with the url I pasted.

Nothing on the home page, but other pages have the testimonials code at the bottom in the footer.

    See for example http://www.adaws.com/category/blog/.

I've kept the text going into testimonials widget all on 3 lines, so it should be all uniform.

If you could take a look again at the link above, and notice that the page shifts up when the 2nd testimonial shows up. Each time you move the page down it moves up again with the next testimonial when it appears.

    Christopher,

You should try using the widget's min-height option to keep the testimonial widget height consistent.

    See screenshot #4.

PS: Your site is looking nice.

    Hi Michael,

Just tried setting Min Height to 100 then to 500 (extremes in both cases), and in both cases, the page still jumps up when transitioning into the next testimonial.

Thanks for your compliments on the site. It still has a long way to go.

    Regards.

    Christopher,

Are you positive your setting the footer testimonial widget min-height? If not, please delete the current and readd.

The min-height code isn't showing up on the website at http://www.adaws.com/category/blog/. As such, I think you might be using a widget zone or shortcode different from what you think you are using.

    Hi Michael,

I just set the min height again at 600. I've left it as is so you can see for yourself.

Please try max-height: 210 instead of using min-height.

There is an interesting issue happening, but I think it's more related to browser viewing than the testimonials. I think this because all of the testimonial div heights are consistently 207px. Next, we're pulling the page to very bottom to force the body to extend. Furthermore, the overall body height remains 2178.89990234375px or some like number when playing with the max-height or not.

    Hi Michael,

Have tried it with max-height: 210 and max-height: 220 and in both cases, the page automatically shifts with the next testimonial transition.

When I deactivate this plugin, all seems fine.

I currently use Safari. Not sure if this is happening in FF.

If the overall body height doesn't change, then it's strange that the page auto shifts with the testimonials plugin. Hmm...

    Christopher,

I agree it's weird. However, when all of the div containers and sections within are giving me consistent heights, it's difficult to debug further.

Are you pulling the page to the very bottom or just to the copyright details?

In any case, I don't have a clear fix for you at this point and it's not a show stopper. So I suggest move onward and in case something does come along to help clear this up, I'll get the release out promptly.

    Hi Michael,

Am pulling the page to the very bottom, and then I observe when the next testimonial transitions, the page shifts up by itself about 1cm.

Agree it's not a show stopped, and will keep my eye on it over coming updates etc.

Thanks anyway for taking a look at this issue.

    Kind Regards,
    Christopher

    Christopher,

FYI - I was checking out other sites with FF, Chrome, etc. on OSX. I noticed that you can pull a page down below the normal bottom margin and it won't change unless there's JavaScript refreshes of some type.

Therefore, I think the JavaScript of Testimonials Widget kicks the browser to reset the body height to normal again. Which causes the page height jump.

I don't usually use FF, but just cranked it up and noticed the page jump doesn't occur. I used Safari (because iCloud is awesome), and only notice the page jump using Safari.

Maybe this small issue will resolve over time.

    Regards.
