    Hi,

    I wanted to change the light blue Kubrick header to another image on website http://www.goowealth.com
    so i went to Kubrickr
    http://www.redalt.com/Tools/kubrickr.php.
    (Recommended in http://codex.wordpress.org/Designing_Headers#Changing_the_Header_Image)

    1.)

    Followed the instructions and replaced the old file with new one with the same name - kubrickheader.jpg in the default images directory here :-
    http://www.goowealth.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickheader.jpg

    Didn't work.

    Changed the URL path in style.css to point the same image to another filename in the same directory.

    Didn't work.

    2.)

    Went on to replaced the path in style.css with the full URL
    path name.

    Didn't Work.

    3.)

    Tested on another wordpress installation with a simpler scaled down version of my site, http://www.goowealth.com/blog

    Once i put changed to point to the full URL, it worked for this installation. But when i changed header colors or text and updated, i couldn't get the new image back again.

    As for the original site goowealth.com, i never seen the updated image there.

    Didn't work for the /blog site eventually either.

    ==================

    Just wanted to change the image easily without digging the codes. I can't figure why the site is still pulling the old image when it has been replaced with a different image here in the first place (cache cleared):-
    http://www.goowealth.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickheader.jpg

    Any help would be good. Thanks.

    My WordPress Version is 2.2

    Also, My header.php doesn't have this part :-
    #header {
    background: url("<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/images/wc_header.jpg")
    no-repeat bottom center; }
    #headerimg {
    margin: 7px 9px 0;
    height: 192px;
    width: 740px; }

    I found a solution to work around the problem, albeit one which most would avoid at a certain cost - time and effort.

    Here it goes.

    I couldn't figure out the problem after many hours. So i installed a whole new WordPress blog under a new sub-directory
    http://www.goowealth.com/arts
    and redirected all traffic from goowealth.com

    The first thing i did is to upload the new kubrickheader.jpg to see if it worked.

    IT DID!

    And it even came up under the admin page 's Header Image and colors. Smooth!

    Next, i migrated my plugins & widgets settings and blog posts. And any codes to be added to sidebar, header or footer phps.

    So everything is fine now.

    Except i have to uninstall my previous WordPress from goowealth.com and re-migrate everything back if i want.

    Conclusion:

    perhaps the multiple plugins i added and tweaked have somehow 'flawed' it's performance. Maybe i have to re-install WordPress once in a while to keep it running optimal.

    "May this dispel the darkness when all other lights have gone out"
    -The Witch in Lord of the Ring as i remember it.

    And so i hope this helps someone out there when he or she has no one nor solution to count on, just as Frodo and Samwise have each other.

    And so this ends the 12 hours episode of
    The Missing Kubrick Header.
