• So I host a podcast from a WordPress installation. Each episode is a post, and they show up on the front page.
The RSS feed I submitted to iTunes is http://teachmewp.com/?feed=rss2 which is just all the posts from my home page.

Now I’d like to change themes, and change my home page to be a static page, instead of recent posts (so that I can have a clean front page, showing only a video player). I will probably use the Atahualpa theme.

I am paranoid about messing up my RSS feed since I have built up hundreds of subscribers, am looking for advertisers, and any mess up at this point could be devastating.

    So the question(s).
If I change from recent posts to a static page, what happens to my RSS feed? Does it continue to show my recent posts? (I searched all the documentation I could, and couldn’t find this answer).

If not, can anyone recommend a RSS plugin that would make this work? I’m thinking maybe something that could redirect the RSS address that iTunes has to the new address would work?

    Your thoughts?

  • your rss feed remains the same by my understanding…..

it is the feed of your posts….. I don’t think what is being displayed on your front page has any matter. Your posts are still your posts, your front page will just be a page.
