Change from WordPress to WordPress MU

    I am starting a blog and it could possibly turn into a multi-user site for people in niche markets to blog from and I cannot find any information about changing from standard wordpress to wordpress MU. Is it possible are there pitfalls or should I just start with MU? What are the pitfalls to that? I hope I didnt miss any help files or posts that already address this issue. I checked both this and the MU site.

    You need to be sure your server will support MU.
    Why not go to the MU forums and ask there ? They would know more about this.
    MU isn’t much different to set up and if you can it would be easier with multiple bloggers. Be aware each user will basically have a separate blog with subdomain.yourdomain.com.

    yes, the subdomain is exactly what we want eventually. we just cannot find any good data that says start with wordpress and when your blog requirements change you can change to MU as needed. I posted to the MU site and I appreciate the quick response.
