   Hi sorry to ask this question but i am new to wp. When I write a post, i cant seem to find a toolbar to change the font size, color, type etc.. any idea where is it?

   you have two choices. You can use the rich text editor or the "old-school" version with html tag buttons.
   This can be toggled in your profile.
