Change display name to nickname

    I am the admin and I used my e-mail to sign up and created a nickname. However the display name in the directory is my personal e-mail (username) not the nickname. How do I change that so that the username displayed for me is my nickname and not the username or my personal e-mail. I was thinking that I can’t change the username at this point since I use it for all my admin stuff and posts.

    Messaging requires a unique identifier for the recipient, so a user-chosen nickname will in general not serve that purpose. Sounds like what you want to do is change your username. Google is your friend for this.

    Thanks Rod. I found out how to do it. You have to go into PHPmyadmin and change the username. I did that and it worked. Thanks

    I want to display nicknames in the directory. All nicknames are unique so that wont be a problem. Please tell me what code to change to accomplish this.

    I think you’ll need a find a programmer to do that for you.
