Hi, I'm a newb and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
Is there a plugin or a setting I can change so that comments default to be showing below a post? What I want to eliminate is the need for someone to have to click the comments link to see the comments. I want them to be plainly visible.
Is this theme dependent?

It depends on the theme, though I must say I haven't seen comment box anywhere else except after the post. Maybe you're writing about the comments link after front page or archive excerpts in some themes where you click on comments links to see comments for particular post.

This worked for me, shows comments on the main page under each post.
