I've read all requests and answers found concerning this question in this supportforum and on google, but none of them was of help. I've tried the several "solutions" but none will work. Is it really impossible to change the default wordpress@mydomain.com to for example info@mydomain.com or whatever name@mydomain.com ?? I can't imagine that this can not be done...
Anyone???
I used WinGrep and found the text "wordpress@" appears in wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php and wp-includes/pluggable.php files.

Michael, thnxs for your reply, but this doesn't seem to do the trick neither... First off, in WP-admin/upgrade-functions.php i can't find anything with either wordpress or @ and i allready changed the wp-includes/pluggable.php file.
No success yet...

If you wish to hard code this.. it's in wp-includes/pluggable.php
lines 212 and 223.
If you hard code it you would have to do it again every time you upgrade to a new version of wordpress.
If you want to change the from address for all mails and notifications sent from your blog try this:
