Is there a way to edit the colors of the drop down menu from the red and white lettering? Its kinda of hard to read and would like to bold it out with more colors that are easier on the eyes

    Thanks

    Hi ahefner33,

Put your mouse over the text in question and right click. Select "Inspect Element" (Firefox) or equivalent.

You will see a "breadcrumb" path to the text you want to target.

    It may be a class like .main-nav or .main-nav .navbar_inner or .main-nav .navbar_inner ul li a

In "Style.css" locate the class or ID

Copy the original line of CSS code. (e.g. background: #70048E;)

    Comment it out.

Paste the copied code below the original code and modify the color.

Save. Refresh the site page and observe results.

    Hope this helps.

@cmeister:Thank you contributing to the forums but please do not encourage people to edit theme files directly. At best, they will lose all of their changes when they update the theme. At worst, they could bring their site down. They should be recommended to create a child theme or use a custom CSS plugin for their changes.

    Hey

Thanks cmeister. I found what you were talking about. Is there a "master" class that will change all of these drop down links at once or do you have to do them individually 1 by 1?

Esmi I have Jetpack installed so is there a process on how I can use this to overide without losing it each time the theme updates?

Add any new CSS to Jetpack's Custom CSS module.

    Thanks.

But do I need to delete original like cmeister suggested or does this just override it?

Just add the new CSS to Jetpack's module.
