   Hi there, I'm currently displaying the default widgets for categories and they have this path:

   http://www.moonward.net/category/packaging/

   How can I change it to be this one:

   http://www.moonward.net/packaging/

   Is there any file I can edit?

   I don't have a solution for you, but if you provide a reason why you would want to do that, it may help someone provide a solution for you.

   The thing is that the archive displays either way, using:

   http://www.moonward.net/category/packaging/

   or

   http://www.moonward.net/packaging/

   So the last one is a cleaner url imo...

   Change your permalinks to custom and try this

   /%category%/%postname%/

   That last answer is the best one, the search engines like it that way.

   Maggical, did you try disabling your plugins, making the change you want and then see if it takes?
