I searched through the posts for meta slider but didn’t see this question. Sorry if I missed it.

I want to change the background color of the caption at the bottom of the slider. I looked through the css to see if I could locate the code to change it but was unsuccessful.

Can someone please tell me how I would do this?

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

Meta Slider Pro has a theme editor that will let you do this easily, or take a look near the bottom of this page if you’re comfortable with editing your theme: http://www.metaslider.com/documentation/developers/

Thank you I was able to find the answer in the documentation/developers link and change the background color of the caption.

However I could not find and answer to the following in the documentation:

I would also like to change the the color of the navigation arrows/background (mid slide not below it) in the default theme as some of my slides have mostly a white background and thus the arrows essentially “disappear.”

Is it possible to do this?

    Thank you.

Hi, it is possible, but not trivial, with some custom CSS edits. We need to prioritise premium support over pro support at the moment, but if I find some free time I’ll try and write up a guide.

The theme editor in Meta Slider Pro lets you choose from around 16 arrow styles and 8 colours.

    Regards,
    Tom.

Ok thanks, I will consider upgrading to Pro as well.

    One more question.

Is there a way to easily modify the css to change the padding/margin above and below the text -as well as the line height/space in between the text lines – in the caption in order to reduce the overall height of the caption?

Hi, yes, you want to use the line-height and padding css rules. They should go into the same block of CSS that you used to change the background color.

    Regards,
    Tom.
