Hi Stefan, apologies for the delay. Thanks for giving Feature Me a try!

In the 4 days since posting this questions (again apologies for the large time gap), were you able to get the button color resolved?

One thing to note, is that the buttons use CSS gradients so you’ll have to change the color in 2 areas per property. If all you want is a flat color, go ahead and remove all of the background-image properties leaving only background. Then you can use your flat color as the background color.

To make things a little easier for you, you can use this CSS Button Generator to customize what your button looks like. Just make sure to use the Feature Me button classes instead of those generated by this tool.

Hi Stefan, I haven’t heard back from you in a while so I’m assuming that you were able to get things to work. If not please respond back and I’ll be able to help you out. If I don’t hear anything in the next couple of days I’ll go ahead and mark this support request as resolved.

    Hello,

I read this and I see that people who have greater skill level can “figure this out” easily. But, for me, I am wondering if something so simple as the CSS color change wording could be added here to the convo so I can “clip and paste” into the CSS styling box… and just change the color code numbers?? 🙂 Thanks!

**I saw the css file in the edit area. I copied and pasted the whole text into my MS Word. I did find and replace to replace all color code numbers with one new color code. I copied and pasted that Word file (with new color codes) into the CSS style change widget area. No change. I’ll go ahead and make the changes in the main CSS file in edit and see if that works for me… I just think it will be lost upon update of this plugin?? Thanks for your work on the plugin!

I don’t get it. Tried to change colors in that CSS edit file… nothing changed.

Oh… wow! I changed it in the edit CSS file of the plug in… my cache cleared… and the color changed successfully! Looks great on my site. (I hope it won’t be lost when plugin updates.) Thank you!

Hi laura.lee! Thanks for giving Feature Me a shot!

Looks like I should build in a better way to input/change CSS in the next version!

Per your questions, I’m glad you were able to get the CSS working! Cache is a common issue for styles. There are two types of cache to look out for. 1) browser cache and 2) server cache. Both of these can cause issues with what you described. If you use WP Supercache or similar you may have to clear both to get updates to appear.

And yes, unfortunately your styles will get lost when the update happens (which is why it’s a good idea for me to build a css input 😉 )

If you’d like you can join sign up for the beta on the new version and test it out and let me know what you think. Beta users get advanced notice of when the final version is released. You can do so here https://www.phasechangedigital.com/plugins/feature-me-2-beta/

Again thanks for trying out Feature Me!
