Change Blog page template (Twenty Ten child theme)

    Hi

    I’m just wondering how I can change the page template for the blog page. I’ve successfully changed it on various other pages, but when I change it under ‘Page Attributes’ on the Blog page, nothing happens.

    My blog page is not my home page.

    Create a loop-index.php template file in your child theme. The Blog page uses the index.php template file.

    Ok – I pasted the code from the page template I want into loop-index.php then selected it under Page Attributes on the Blog page. This gave some odd results – I’m guessing I’ve made a mistake here?

    Your blog page does not use a page template. It uses the index.php template file.
