Change “At a Glance” list in admin dashboard?

    Is there a way to modify the admin dashboard so the “At a Glance” section lists the number of posts in each category? I’m hoping I can just use the wp_count_posts function, but I don’t know what parameters to put in to get to display posts from a certain category (which I’m betting would have to be by ID).
