Change a new server but….

    I was changed a new server.
    I have download all the document and file from the old server.
    When using the new service,
    I just upload what I am download at old service,
    And I was changed somethings at wp-config.

    The problems here now:
    1.I lost all article, Who can tell to me which file is the article text?

    2.And all friends and user account was lost,which file is?

    When you told me that file are user and article,
    could I upload to cover that new file,
    And it will be here again?

    Your posts, pages, users etc were stored in your database.

    Typically, if your old server had cPanel, you’d go through cPanel to get to phpmyadmin, and then export (download) the database from there.

    Then you’d import (upload) it through your current web hosting account.

    Of course, there’s more detail to it than that, but that’s the general idea.

    You are going to need access to your old server to recover all your old posts unless you downloaded the database along with the files.

    If you have the .sql backup file you will need to use phpMyadmin and import your old database then create a user for that database. Go back to your wp-config.php and enter the database name user name and password.

    And I was changed somethings at wp-config.

    What did you change at wp-config? Did you create a new database on your new server? Can you access the admin panel on your new server?

    Thx,I solve the problem alreadt,
    Cos the old server was overdue…
    I can not take the old post forevery……
