   Hello, I'm new to WordPress, so I'm learning it as I go. My current challenge is getting cforms to work properly. I experienced the issue of a white browser screen after activating cforms. I read in another post that the solution to that is to bump up the php memory in the .htaccess file.

   I'm a little confused at this point, as I'm currently only running WordPress on a local server. Do I need to create the .htaccess file to put on my local server? Will cforms run on a local server, or will it only run when placed on a remote server?

   If cforms will run on a local server, where exactly would I put the .htaccess file? I'm on a Mac, using MAMP and WP 2.3.3

   Can't really give you an informed advice about the proper setup of MAMP since I don't use local dev environments. But the source of the problem seems to be the same: too little memory allocated.
   See if you can google something on how to configure MAMP to give the PHP server more MEM to work with.

   Thank you, olivers, for kindly replying. For some reason, I hadn't thought about Googling MAMP. I've done so now, and the answers are many! I just needed a nudge in the right direction. Thanks, again.
