[resolved] Category/Archive/Tag pages show no results (7 posts)

I have been using WordPress for a while now and today I noticed something going wrong on my site. When I click a category, archive or tag the appropriate page opens but displays no results. I've also noticed my tagcloud is missing some often used tags. This is somehow related since both problems emerged at the same time.

Links to individual posts or pages work just fine.

I'm using "post name" from the permalinks settings as my default post title.

Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then set a custom permalink structure back up again.

I've tried what you said, but it unfortunately didn't make any difference.
I'm currently using Twenty Eleven 1.3

Re-upload a fresh copy of Twenty Eleven to wp-content/themes using FTP:

That didn't make any difference either. I found out the tag cloud problem has to do with the "collapsing categories" plug-in and this might also be causing the permalink problem. I've tried deactivating it and that solves the tag cloud problem, but the archives, tags & categories still don't get any results.

    Still no progress...

    I have tried re-installing twenty-eleven and I have even re-installed WordPress 3.3.1, I deleted the "collapsing categories" plug-in.
I've changed and re-changed my permalink settings.

Could there be a conflict with theCartPress? They don't share any common categories or tags. I'm just guessing now...

    *Update*

I've just deactived all plug-ins and the problem is gone. I will now re-activate all plug-ins and see which one is causing problems.

I have found the culprit, it seems theCartPress is causing the problems. I think it's related to a duplicate request when looking up categories and somehow WordPress confuses product categories with post categories.

I have deactivated TCP and all is fine now, but if anyone has a solution to get both TCP and proper category permalinks, i'd be happy to know.
