• Hey there,

So I installed the plugin because I have a category with a set of products that should only be visible to logged in users of a certain group. I setup all of the parameters, but it’s not working: the category is still showing up in my navigation. I can click on it and the corresponding ‘page’ is openend.

The products themselves (as connected to the category) are not displayed on said page, so it’s working somewhat.

What am I doing wrong here?

    Kind regards,

    Bert

Oh, I’m talking about categories in Woocommerce, not the standard WordPress categories.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. A quick solution for this has been to create pages, set the access restrictions, then use the WooCommerce shortcodes to pull in the category I wish to display.

    e.g. [product_category category=”category_name” per_page=”12″ columns=”4″ orderby=”name” order=”asc”]

I would really prefer not to use this method but it’s the only way I’ve been able to get it to work.

It looks like there has been an extension developed but it will cost $29

Hmmm, so instead of directly linking to categories in the main menu, you would create a page for each category. On that page you would pull the categories directly. But:

    – How does this differ from the normal method?
    – How would you restrict access (to pages?)

In our system on the left hand side we display the category menu (for navigation purposes) on every level (even product detail page level).
