   I have a category structure like this:

   Portfolio (parent)
   -Video (child)
   -Voice (child)
   -Websites (child)

   This is what the slugs are:

   Portfolio (portfolio)
   -Video (video-portfolio)
   -Voice (voice)
   -Websites (websites)

   I try to rename the video slug to "video" and it renames it back to "video-portfolio" or "video-portfolio-2" and then when I rename it back it goes back to one or the other but it wont stay just "video."

   Any ideas?

   Do you have an empty (unused) category already called "Video"? Or a "Video" tag?

   Yes there is a video tag. I renamed the slug of the tag and that fixed it. Thanks!
