   I have just added 2 new categories but i notice the slug has -2 added on the end of it. It says that there is another category with the same slug name but when i look, there isn't. I understand sometimes if you have created a category in the past and deleted it, it will remember it. Perhaps this is what is happening but I can't find the trash for categories. Any help would be appreciated

   Not sure if there is an easier way or a plugin out now but I know doing it in the database manually works.

   Super thanks, that's done the trick :)

   You may know the answer to my other question too; a couple of my posts come under several categories but I have no say in which category goes in the URL at the moment, how do I choose which category goes in the URL on new posts that come under several categories and how do I change the category of old posts?
