   It would be great if someone made a plugin that would allow you to select a category by using autocomplete OR an ajax type filtering. Right now selecting the category is a pain if you have 100+ categories like I do (excessive scrolling). No, I don't want to use tags. Also if you could put them back on the right sidebar where they belong that would be a bonus (I'm not a fan of WP 2.5 write screen panel).
