• Hi,
Just trying out wordpress for the first time and it seems great.
Two features that would be very cool, I think, are to have:
->Category RSS feeds. Right now the rss feed seems to be for the whole site. But I’d love to see Category specific feeds.
->Category locking. I’d like users to be able to post on wordpress, but only in the categories in which they are allowed.
My guess is these two things are probably hackable without too much work. But if someone has a quick fix for me, I’d much appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Ben

Hmm… There were some pretty cool hacks on that page, but I wasn’t able to find anything that related to either of those above. There was an RSS feed for comments, which was interesting, but not for categories. I’ll start digging into the code to see what I can do. If I missed it let me know. Thanks for the reply.

My hack is an RSS feed for comments – the Category RSS feeds already exists (I think, it did in b2). Just add “?cat=#” to the RSS URL.

Yes, RSS feeds allow the same arguments that index.php does.

Oh yeah, sorry. You did say category, but I had comments on brain 🙂
