    Hey Community,

I understand the order a post will be shown in a category is as follows:

    category-6.php
    category.php
    archive.php
    index.php

What I am trying to do is get a category that is a subcategory of another to display in its parent category page before scaling down the order of levels.

Say I have category-8 that is also a subcategory of category-6. Is there a way to get category-8 to display in category-6's category template, i.e., I am trying to avoid creating a category-8.php.

I have five subcategories of a category that could all show in the same category page. The work around I have so far is to create the five categories pages and then to use includes for the side bars and banners for streamlining efficiency on updating, but again, if possible I would like to avoid creating the additional pages.

    Anyhow, any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Orion

    Wow!

I am in love with wordpress! I just love how simple and grounded it is. It is the ultimate publishing program, and it also has one of my favorite communities.

Thank you for your help, it works great!

    All the Best,
    Orion
