hi guys, i've a problem here, and i wonder if you all can help me out.

i've set my website to be working with the default category base /category/.

however, i've also set my site in such a way that, the blog posts can be access via their category like http://website.address/category_name/ (by passing the /category/ in the middle)

i understand that this does mess up wordpress because i'm mixing up the permalinks, sure does, trying to access /page/2/ (like http://website.address/category_name/page/2/) gives a 404.

is there a way to work around this? i don't want to have that ugly category base between my root url and the category name! =)

    my problem in real, here.

    Solved!

    Here is the solution:

    install this plugin:
    http://fortes.com/projects/wordpress/top-level-cats/

    Use the permalink structure: /%category%/%postname%.html
set base category as 'category' (or anything else)

It won't work without the html on the end.

    works like a dream!
