   I just upgraded from 3.03 to 3.1 and now my category pages no longer work. I can grab posts by category on other pages and individual posts show the proper category in the meta area, but when I follow the link to /category/foo, the have_posts() check is failing.

   Switched to different themes, getting the same problem on all of them.

   I am having the same problem. Not only are all categories gone but when i try and create a new on it Auto-Deletes....I can't believe we are the only ones with this problem.

   I have tried upgrading WP
   Installing new theme
   Deactivating ALL plugins
   ect...... and still nothing.

   I went through the troubleshooting list and did a re-install of 3.1 and problem did not go away.
