   Fairly new to WP, but getting better, I thought. Just upgraded to 3.0.4 from 2.something. Automatic install seemed to work perfectly - my modified BlueLeather theme seemed to handle things well even though it is no longer supported at themeforest. But then I noticed the category pages that collected and displayed posts in particular categories no longer display - just blank white pages, no error.

   For example...
   http://www.sitename.com/category/photography/ used to display all posts in the photography category. Now just white. Tried sitename.com/photography etc. and no luck, just white page with no error message.

   All posts can still be viewed directly by permalink. All categories appear to still exist in admin as they did before the upgrade.

   Somehow WP or my theme(?) is no longer pulling together the category pages?

   Any ideas what to look for to fix this? Any suggestions are welcome.

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

   - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

   esmi - thanks for the note. I have deactivated all plug-ins and removed the plugins folder via ftp with no change. I did try an alternative theme (Arras) and category pages definitely DID work through that theme that I tested. So, it seems it is a conflict with my BlueLeather theme files somehow. Any ideas what to look for in my theme files? Something that has changed in recent upgrades of WP that may need to be updated in my theme files? Which file should I be looking at that play a role in generating category pages? I can certainly switch to a more friendly theme, but am hoping to avoid that if possible.

   Try looking in category.php or archive.php.
