[resolved] category pages don't use category.php (3 posts)

    Hi All,

I'm a new wordpress user so apologies in advance if this is documented somewhere.

I'm using a custom theme, and I noticed that the categories pages are broken (eg http://labs.jobster.com/blog/at/?p=category/design/), they just display every post, not just the posts for that category.

I found out that is because my theme directory doesn't have a category.php file, so I added one.

My problem is that the "Template Hierarchy" still skips over category.php and defaults to index.php.

Does anyone know how I can get my category pages to recognize the category.php file?

    Thanks,
    Joe

    This looks right:

    http://labs.jobster.com/blog/at/?category_name=category/design/

A query of "?p=" calls up individual posts by ID.
