  • have you by any chance changed the name of the word that displays instead of category and tag in the URL to “topics” for both categories and tags?

Because at the bottom of http://www.hoxtonlive.com/festival-chaos/
the post is in “tags: history” and “Posted in: history”. And both of those have the same URL http://www.hoxtonlive.com/topics/history/

You can’t have two different pages pointing to the same URL.

If you have done this, 1) change the name “history” in either the tag or the category, so they are different and thus not duplicating the URL, OR 2) use a different word for the category base and the tag base

Thanks for the help, I just found that this occurred because I had made both the tag slug and the category slug as the word “topics”. Once I changed one of them and re-created the sitemap using the sitemaps plugin everything is fine now.

Sooooo glad I found this. Although I wish I found it hours ago.
    Thanks.
